Final: Magazine Cover

For my Final I had to make a Magazine Cover for a fake magazine. I found a picture from my last trip to Oceano Dunes, with my friends, and used that as the background. I then, created a title, which is "High-Flying Adventures on Oceano Dunes."  After that, I found a barcode online and I also made an address label. The last thing I did was add the published date. The layout option I used was the Poster Cover, and my theme was ATVS and Adventures.

Lesson 7: Typography

This project was the most fun out of all the the projects I did. I made a collage for a number one song in Italy. The artist is Pasquale Esposito an Italian Tenor, and a family friend.  The song is"Thats What The World Says." I used some pictures I found online, and the others are my personal pictures. Each picture represents a line of the song.  I only did a few verses of the song.  I resized each picture, as well as adding speech bubbles, and I also made some pictures have transparent backgrounds. Even though this was the project that was the most fun, it was also the one that required the most work.

Lesson 5: Masks

For this lesson I took a picture of one of my twin nephews. Then I took a picture of the beach in Hawaii at sunset.  After that, I selected Kyle in the picture, then saved the selection as a mask.  Finally, I input the selection to the beach background.

Lesson 4: Colorizing A Grayscale Image

For This assignment, I  shot a colored photo of a house we stayed in while on vacation in Hawaii.  Then, I took another colored picture of a florescent green gecko by the house in Hawaii.  I then combined both pictures, and change the color mode in the two combined pictures to Grayscale. After that, I changed its color mode from Grayscale to RGB. Then, I colorized it by using a Gradient map with the Vivid Contrast gradient. Finally, I adjusted the Hue and Saturation to give me the final product.

Lesson 4 Tutorial: Colorizing A Grayscale Image

I took a grayscale photo of a girl from a tutorial in my textbook. I then changed its color mode from Grayscale to RGB. After that, I colorized it by using a Gradient map with the Crimson Reflect gradient. Finally, I adjusted the Hue and Saturation to give me the final product.

Lesson 3: Duotones

For this assignment I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 to create a Duotone. I found a picture of some sand dunes in California. Then, I took a picture of me riding my ATV in Hollister. Then, I put me and my ATV into the sand dunes picture. Finally I made it a duotone.
